Buy seasonal edible flowers. Our most popular box.
Our seasonal edible flower selection is collection of 55 small and medium flowers that are the very best of what is available on the day. A selection of sweet or very mild flavoured flowers which are perfect for garnishing cakes, popping on puds or floating in your cocktails. These pretty little flowers are the ones used by professional chefs to garnish desserts.
These flowers are all winter hardy and grown in our unheated polytunnels in the (hopefully!) milder Devon weather. The January/February boxes will typically contain primulas with some violas, pansies, violas and other seasonal additions. The pansies and violas come more to the fore in February/March. April and May sees other lovelies adding to the mix and then dianthus as we are then heading into summer. The contents will vary slightly throughout the winter but will typically contain approximately 55 sweet flowers of mixed colours. These flowers are all smaller in size.
By summer we are starting to sneak some of the larger flowers into the boxes and more fragrance. A base of fragrant rose, phlox, dahlia maybe an abutilon as well as the usual smaller lovelies. These are interspersed wtih lavender, flowering herbs and fragrant leaves.
We should add that we are a tiny family firm and do pick every box to order so if you want a particular range of colours or sizes then please do add to the notes as you go through the order process.
APOLOGIES. WE HAVE NO BLUE FLOWERS AT THIS TIME OF YEAR. PLEASE DON'T REQUEST AS WE CAN'T FULL FILL YOUR ORDER AND WILL JUST HAVE TO REFUND.
THE BOXES CHANGE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AS THE FLOWERS SEASONS CHANGE. EVERY BOX IS PICKED TO ORDER ON THE DAY IT IS DISPATCHED. CERTIFIED ORGANIC. ALL GROWN BY US. NEVER IMPORTED.
